Not a fan of black cars in general because of upkeep issues ( I have owned a couple of them), but I agree this looks great, especially with those red seats.
On Monday, I took possession of my first Mazda, this CX-30 GT turbo. I love the menacing look of the black-on-black, which pairs nicely with of the CX-30's more aggressive styling cues, giving it a "Lord Vader, your shuttle has arrived" vibe. Funny thing is, I only had to wait 3 weeks for it! Was shopping around for different cars, decided to try the 3 and then spotted the posting for this beauty. The guy who originally ordered it had to cancel just weeks before delivery. His loss, my gain.
Love everything so far except the Bose system (ughh, not my choice obviously). I want to rip it out and start from scratch but I see from other member postings that this will be an integration challenge (nightmare?). Oh, I miss the days when things were simpler; just yank the OEM head unit and slap in an Alpine deck!
Looking forward to input and knowledge from other owners!
Congrats and beautiful car!!!! Yeah, I've been disappointed with the Bose as well. I've made numerous adjustments to balance/fade using the infotainment controls, but it just doesn't sound right. My comparison is with my 2019 MX-5 GTS that had Bose....it sounded phenomenal. I'm not sure why the system in my CX-30 doesn't quite sound as good or as clean.

Sorry, wasn't getting alerted to replies (I gotta fix that!). I'm definitely doing a sound system and will be documenting it fully. There's so little out there for CX-30 and I've always appreciated when people hand down knowledge and wisdom so I'll be paying it forward. Right now, I'm in the planning stage and, of course, integration is the biggest part right now. It seem to involve a fair amount of "Why the hell did they do THAT?!" Oh well, that's the fun of it.The all black looks soooo good. If you attempt an aftermarket sound system please do document the process! We’d all love to see it.
