I took delivery of my CX30 on Monday and have noticed that i can see an outline of what i think is the backlight of the screen used to project the active driving display on my windscreen. Reducing the brightness (I have it on max) reduces the problem slightly but when driving at night its not bright enough. Sometimes i dont notice it at all. Has anyone else had this problem?

No.
Sounds like a an assembly/alignment defect.
Hopefully a minor adjustment from the dealer will solve it.

It’s not a fault. It depends on the angle of the light striking the top of the dash. I can sometimes see the shape of the dash-top aperture for the HUD, other times I can’t.

Yes, in certain lighting I can see the outline of the top of the dash reflected in the windscreen.
Not so sure that’s what the OP was referring to.
He mentioned he could see the outline of the backlight.
I could be mistaken, it happened once before.🤣
