I got my CX30 back in August and it came equipped with android auto. In recent weeks I've had connectivity issues. Usually my phone will say there is a bad connection or the slightest movement will cause disconnection. I've un/plugged from the phone and USB port. I've restarted my phone. I don't think the USB cable is loose. It's frustrating and don't know what to do. I do like it but hopefully there will be a wireless option available soon.

Maybe you need a new cord?
This is almost always the answer when it comes to AA connection issues. Some cheaper cords can work at first and then just stop working. Also, make sure the USB C port on your phone is cleaned (blow into it) - you'd be amazed at the dust that can collect in there.
