This may apply to the premium model only (BOSE unit) but curious to see if anybody has any good recommendations for audio system settings to get the most out of the audio system. I’m finding the low-end bass a bit lackluster even if there is a mini subwoofer in the spare tire in the back of the car… It just feels like it needs more lower and to really make it sound good. I’m adjusting now to see if I can make it a bit more richer in sound, but seems limited.

I'm glad you opened this thread because I was thinking of starting a similar one. I don't have a cx30 yet, but the video reviews I've seen have seemed at polar opposites in their opinions of the top end Bose stereo. A few reviews have said the stereo is the best they've ever heard in a car, and that if you're an audiophile this car is amazing. But then other reviews say the stereo is merely "ok" and may not be worth getting. So I was curious if it was due to it needing to be configured? or if it's just so subjective that you'll never get full agreement on it.

Yes agreed. My perspective is coming from our experience in our 2011 CX-9 with top of line BOSE unit...which was basic but very warm and full (not sure if those are the right terms). The cx30’s unit is by far so much more advanced with tech, I just feel with smaller speakers, it’s not as robust in the bass. Ours has a small subwoofer in the spare tire and after adjusting the bass, I’m still not getting much. Still going to adjust through weekend to see.

I have the treble and bass set to the max and then I kept all the original settings. Bose stereo mode as standard, Bose centerpoint at highest level, and then the Bose Audiopilot is set to 2. It sounds pretty good to me. I use Apple music and that also uses an in app equalizer, which helps.
