On the CX-5 forum there are complaints of the auto climate control blowing cold air at high fan speed at startup when cold outside.
Almost every car I’ve owned with this feature starts off at a very slow fan speed which ramps up as the engine warms. No initial blast of cold air.
How does it work with the CX-30? I will likely stop by the dealer to test it but thought I’d get some owner feedback first.

Hi - did you ever figure this out? I get cold air blasted at me for the first 5 mins of venue journey when it’s cold outside!

works like you described - when climate set to Auto it practically not blows at all. Fan speed gets higher after engine warms up

depends on the outside temperature and what temperature you set it at, I usually don't active the auto climate system till the engine gets up to normal operating temperature or close to it.

In cold temperatures when I first start the car, I turn on the heated seats and steering wheel (which active very fast) while the engine temperature increases and also idle very little (varies slightly depending on the current temperatures) as the engine will heat up quicker driving than sitting there idling.

I am very pleased as to how well the system performs on auto, as you can manual override it if you wish to conform to various conditions.

I haven't liked the automatic climate control systems in the two vehicles I have owned with it (my 2020 Corolla SE Sedan & my 2022 Mazda CX-30 CE), so have it turned off. I like my A/C (or just vent air without A/C) to be on fan setting 2-3 all the time (A/C stays cool just fine at 2-3 setting even at 115+F temps with a good heat rejection film installed on all glass), & never need/want to use the heater out here in southern Arizona.
