Bonnet/Hood Protection

Sebas999 is offering excellent advice in that you can buy kits of variuos pieces/parts from many vendors...but it not an easy job to install it. The YouTube vids make it look easy. I have put PPF product on all my cars over the years, mostly on hood, bumper area and lower sections that are prone to damage, so i do speak from expeeience. The first time I did it it took me many hours and much frustration and it doesn't get easier, especially with the hoods on cars today that have positive and negative angles/curves...nothing flat anymore. I did my hood and front end similar to Sebas999 (nice job), but it took me many years of practice.

Plus you will need a heated garage and a friendly helper. Not trying to discourage you and it is cheaper as a DIY project, but once it's down you cannot easily lift it off and redo it, so you toss it. Think of trying to wrap a football with plastic wrap film and having it all nice and wrinkle free. ;-)

Good luck...J.

I have used the xPEL brand PPF on all my cars, from black Millennia, pearl white A4 Audi, charcoal grey Mazda 3 & CX-7 and ...to my current Mica Black CX-30. No fading and stays clear during the 5-6 years between trades. It can also be waxed or ceramic coated with no harm to film.
