Just bought a CX-30 GS (Canada). I have a sdcard from my Mazda3 but I can't open the sdcard slot. There seems to be a little cover over it. I've tried pulling it off, don't want to try too hard as it might break, but it isn't coming. Should I just come on to it? Wonder if the cover has been put on to prevent anyone from using an aftermarket nav card.

You can remove the cover, I've seen it done from other people on YouTube. They sometimes can be tricky trying to open though.

I think they're attached to the vin #. Maybe the dealer knows how to get around that.

The 30 uses BDGF-66-EZ1. And yes, it locks to the VIN as soon as you put the card in and start the car. If you want one, I got mine off of eBay for $44...brand new in OEM packaging. I can send you the link if you're interested.
