Just bought a CX-30 GS (Canada). I have a sdcard from my Mazda3 but I can't open the sdcard slot. There seems to be a little cover over it. I've tried pulling it off, don't want to try too hard as it might break, but it isn't coming. Should I just come on to it? Wonder if the cover has been put on to prevent anyone from using an aftermarket nav card.

Thanks. Gave it a bit more force and it opened. Unfortunately, by nav card is either locked to my previous Mazda3 or the CX-30 uses a differently coded card.

Don't think they would if they could. I'm sure it's done to increase sales of the sd card.

The 30 uses BDGF-66-EZ1. And yes, it locks to the VIN as soon as you put the card in and start the car. If you want one, I got mine off of eBay for $44...brand new in OEM packaging. I can send you the link if you're interested.
