The operation of the CD player seems odd, with the radio on as usual after playing the CD and ejecting it, the radio is no longer playing, you have to touch the entertainment button then the commander knob to select source for me FM.
Never had this before normally the radio continues p!aying after eje ting the CD.

they are still putting CD players in cars! 😃 I thought that died out years ago, they discontinued that feature in my Soul in 2014.

There is no CD players in Canadian and US models, so it will have to be help from European members.

I just bought a 2020 CX-30, so many great features but no CD player. I own 300+ CDs and many are bootleg Greatful Dead so no getting a digital version. I also enjoy books on CD for long rides. My question is can I get an after market CD player installed, there seems to be a slot for it (usb port is there) but can it be hooked up to sound system.

I have the same issue....I see usb bluetooth cd players on ebay but they say they are not compatible with my 2021 cx30...i wonder why not...if i can get a usb stick to play songs i have on it, why cant a usb connected bluetooth cd player not channel thru the entertainment favorites of usb and play out through the speakers as does that usb stick that has music on it...it plays, and the entertainment console allows picking albums and tracks with the control dial Knob on the Mazda

Use Linux Sound Juicer to convert CD:s to lossless FLAC files. Then copy files to 256 Mb USB -stick. CX-30 can handle 9999 files on each USB stick. No cry for CD player after that.
