With both my previous 2020 and current 2022 Premium trim cars , if the Auto button is on, the climate control fan does’t increase it’s speed until the car reaches it’s operating temperature in the winter (outside temps 0 to 32F). I also think that while in the “auto” mode if you manually adjust the fan’s speed, the ”auto” indicator stays on but now the fan speed is set to what ever level you’ve chosen and the fan speed level will remain at what you set, even if you turn off and restart the car. I believe to reset the auto fan speed, you have to press the “auto” button while the car is running.
I could be totally wrong about this, or thinking about my wife's ’Kia Sorento as we’ve been away from home several weeks, so I can’t confirm this at the moment.

Thanks for correcting me as I wasn’t sure and I’m away from home for a while. After reading your post I remembered that I unconsciously (apparently 😂) that I touch the “auto” button before I turn off my car so the fan speed functions properly the next morning when I start the car remotely.
