Could anyone share a video on how to change the CX 30's key fob's battery? The owners manual is useless (only shows how to release manual key, not battery). I was able to open the fob to extract the key with little effort --- but did not want to force the plastic to get at the battery. Little pieces started to come loose when I tried prying the fob open --- not user friendly!

Go to YouTube...search for "Mazda 3 Smart Key Fob Battery Replacement - DIY"...the 3 has the same new Key Fob as the CX-30...there are 2 or 3 really good videos on how to do it. Replacement button battery 2032. Hope that helps...

Thanks for your suggestion. I had no idea that the 2020 CX 30 and the Mazda 3's key fobs would be so similar.

I thought the owners manual was excellent on showing you exactly how to replace the key battery. Don't think it could be much more clearer than this.

I am using the USA edition, not the Canadian manual! I agree with you --your manual displays the information clearly.

the US and Canadian manuals are almost identical, I found a US owners manual (in pdf) and the above info is identical and on the same pages too.

There is also a online digital owners manual which also shows all the same info.
