If they paint red 3 times, I would expect the stone chips to affect my bonnet 3 times less. (ha ha ... I wish).
I think the red looks really good on the CX-30 because of the way the doors have those curves.
Those curves reflect the light on the paint, in a nice way.
the red paint gets additional paint covering before the red is applied. Here is a screen shot from the production line in Mexico as the paint is applied. Probably explains why this colour is the most expensive paint option.
Here is the touch up kit i received free from the dealer, soul red...colour one end, top coat of red other end. Had to use it on a small door edge chip and cannot see where it was so seems to work well
