1. New User Registration
We require all new users to update their profile and would recommend that new members post an introduction in the New Members section of the forum before posting elsewhere. This helps to protect the forum from spammers and unsolicited sellers and also helps members give advice and comment as they know what car model you have.
Please note that temporary or one-time email addresses are not allowed. Accounts will be suspended if these types of email address are used.

2. Usernames, Avatars and Signatures
These should be "PG" rated as this forum is viewed by all ages. Posting inappropriate Avatars or Signatures, or registering with an inappropriate Username will result in a PM from a Moderator. You will be asked to have the item changed within a 24 hour period. If no action is taken, your avatar/signature will be deleted, changed, or disabled without further notification. Accounts with inappropriate Usernames will be suspended. Usernames, Avatars or Signatures containing the following apply to this rule: profanity or adult-oriented content, obscene, pornographic, political, advertisements in avatars and signatures, flaming or bashing other people, websites and/or businesses.

Please help us keep this site family-friendly.
  • Profanity or Defamatory language - Profanity, defamatory, sexist, or any other generally inappropriate content is not allowed in the forum.

  • Police Bashing: Persistent or purposeful “cop bashing” is not allowed. Referring to a cop, policeman, etc is appropriate but unproven defamatory remarks or titles will not be tolerated
  • No Political Threads! These threads tend to get out of hand really fast. There are plenty of other places on the internet to discuss politics.
  • Flames or derogatory insults are strictly against the rules. If you disagree with another member's point of view, do so in a mature and civil manner.
  • NO posts or links to pirated software are permitted
4. Stay respectful.
Users shall treat each other with respect at all times on CX30talk.com. Ideas and opinions may be challenged, but name-calling, personal attacks, or other inappropriate behaviour will not be allowed and may cause your account to be banned. Harassment will not be tolerated in this community.

5. Trolling is not allowed.
Trolling behaviour is not allowed on CX30talk.com. This includes deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or highly offensive comments for the purpose of disrupting the community or harassing another member. .

6. Regarding Vendors, Sponsors & Vendor/Sponsor Bashing:
Attacking a vendor/sponsor on the forum is inappropriate and will not be tolerated. If you have a complaint with a vendor/sponsor, you may post the information in the appropriate forum and discuss the facts pertinent to the problem at hand. If you do post on the forum about a specific problem involving a vendor/sponsor, please remain calm and state the facts. Do not let emotion cloud the issue at hand, make your thread in the appropriate section, state your case, and be done with it. Harassment will not be tolerated.

Members are free to discuss and even recommend the products and services of non-supporting vendors; however non-supporting vendors are not allowed to directly or indirectly advertise their services. The moderators reserve the right to edit or delete posts they deem to violate this rule. Anyone who benefits from the promotion of a product is considered a commercial post.

We really hope most situations can be resolved off-line however we will not prohibit a statement of fact. But we will control the thread so as to stop the "Hate" or "Me too" replies these threads often generate.
If the situation resolution seems to be totally unacceptable or completely ignored, you should contact the Vendor directly with your situation. This rule is designed to respect vendor/sponsor business practices, their products, and their pricing.

7. Copyright-protected material.
You may only post material and content that you own. Posting copyrighted material, trademarks, and other violations of the DMCA is prohibited. You may post a small snippet of an article, but you may not post the full text. Please provide a link (if possible) to the material instead.

8. You may only have one membership account.
You may only have one account on this forum. No exceptions. If you have issues with your account or need help changing your username, password, email, etc. you can post for help or contact us. If any member is found with more than one account on the board and/or actively uses to spam or deceive staff or board members, both accounts and IP addresses will be banned without warning.

9. Do not disclose private information
Do not disclose private information about members without their consent. This includes names, contact details, pictures, details about personal life, etc. - this includes private messages, Facebook, email, and social media in part.

10. Attacking Forum Moderators:
Users shall not question or debate a moderator decision publicly on the message board. In the event of a disagreement or questioning of a moderator's decision or action, users should contact the moderator(s) or admin(s) via private conversation (message). As long as you bring up your concerns maturely and civilly to the moderator or administrator in question, we will do our best as a team to address your concerns fairly and promptly.

  • You are selling your personal property and posting in the classified (for sale) section of the community.
If you or your company wishes to become an approved vendor you are encouraged to use the contact us page and choosing the Vendor / Sponsor option from the drop down.
Until you become a paid Sponsor, please understand your "advertisements" will be either edited or deleted, as it's neither fair to those who support this site - nor us, the CX30Talk community.

Warnings, Suspension, & Banning
If a member violates any rules, he or she may be contacted by a moderator with a reminder of the forum rules and a request to keep the rules in mind in the future. Depending upon the severity of the violation, Moderators or Administrators may include a warning that continued violations will result in suspension. Members who have ignored prior warnings or committed a serious breach of their membership agreement may have their membership suspended for a period of time. If necessary, a member will be banned from the forum. Also depending on the severity of the action, you MAY NOT receive a warning. Warnings are a courtesy, not a right.

Do not post messages on behalf of banned members. They are banned for a reason. Doing so will result in a ban for the poster who is conveying the message, and an increase in the ban length for the poster who is sending the message.

Any violation of these rules will result in an infraction up to and including a permanent ban. Please help us keep this site user-friendly and report any instances of rule violations. These rules may be altered at any time without notice so please check this page often. Thanks.

Please realise that the nature of the offence will determine the action to be taken. If the violation is extreme enough, or has been repeated enough times in the past, a member can have his/her ID locked/banned without a warning. The owners of these forums have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

Threads or replies that do not comply with our guidelines may be locked, edited, or deleted, depending on the nature of the offence. We will make every effort to state why such action was taken via private message, e-mail, and/or moderator reply in the offending thread. For this reason, we ask that you check your private messages often. You can find out whether or not you have received any private messages by checking your account or by clicking on your Avatar. You can also set your options so that the board notifies you when you have received a private message / conversation, if you so desire.

Thanks for your understanding,
