Hi,
Another weird thing that happened to me today,
When I open the driver's door from the inside the upholstery got a scratch from my

fingernail.
This upholstery may be beautiful but very vulnerable to touch.

I was wondering about long term durability of all the soft-touch materials. Reviewers all rave about the premium soft materials but the cheaper hard plastics probably hold up better in the long run.

Strongly agree with you, another mistake that Mazda made in developing of the vehicle, not understanding why they didn't put a plastic or nickel frame around the handle opening, would have prevented the scratches.
