A 225/65R17 has an overall diameter of 28.5", while the stock 215/55R18 tires are 27.3". Unfortunately, that represents a 4.4% increase, which is well out of the recommended maximum deviation of +/-3%. If you want to keep the CX-5 17" wheels and put new winter tires on them (and sell the old ones), I would recommend a 215/60R17, which is only a 0.4% decrease from OEM, and lots of popular winter tires are available in that size.I have the winter tires off my old CX5, 225/65R17, anyone know if I'd be ok to put them on my CX30 215/55R18 without creating a problem?
Many Mazda wheels have the exact same specs (aside from diameter and width of course). Same 5x114.3 bolt pattern, same +45 offset, same 67.1 bore diameter. For a 215 width tire, the minimum recommended wheel width is 6.5", with 7" or 7.5" being optimal.hi guys, i am looking to put some used mags on my cx-30.. is it possible for my to put on almost any mazda used mags? Do i really have to be carefull with offset if its some mazda original mags ? thank you for your help. My tire are 215/60R17 xl ( GS model)
Would put your wheels about 0.3" more inboard, but other factors such as wheel width and tire size would also come into play as to whether there's sufficient clearance.Has anyone tried installing any Mazda 3 rims on their CX-30? They are generally 52.5 offset.... I wonder if they'll work on the CX-30 or would the tires be too close to the suspension?
