My local dealer says they don't use Car Wow and prefer to provide discount negotiations direct with the customer.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with this and if the discount (if any) was more competitive that way.

After my local dealer had given me their best price, I used carwow to see what I could get elsewhere. I showed them the best offer I received (which was around £3,000 under what they had offered, plus it included mats) and I asked them to match it because I was buying the car either through them or elsewhere. They had to make some phone calls to their head office and Mazda, but they matched it (of course!). So although the sales wasn’t registered through carwow, it was worth using it to get a better deal.

Thanks.

Sounds as though there really isn't anything to lose going via this route. I shall certainly give this a try.

i have done the same as leanne since carwow started, shop around , carwow and then play one dealer off against the other, , with the current cx30 we had many dealers say no discounts as it a new car, it hadn't been released at this time, i ended up with 3 delaers locally offering the same, give or take a £, but it was my local dealer who edged it in the end..if you go through carwow the supplying dealer has to pay carwow £300,
