The last 3 times I started my car (2020 CX-30), the i-ACTIVESENSE light came on for 7 seconds, then turned off. Is that normal?

This is the symbol I'm referring to. It goes off after 7 seconds or so. Ground is damp...

Ok I figured it out lol. When I park somewhere else that is more open it goes right off. So it's sensing things when I park near a curb, car or house etc. Makes sense.

That symbol for me stays on for varying lengths. I'm not sure your hypothesis is accurate. Case in point, there's been many times where I start my car in the garage and the light goes off instantaneously and times where it stays on for an extended period of times. Similarly, I've started the car with literally nothing around and have experienced the same varying length light. So.....I have no idea what the length of the light actually means.

You're right. I noticed that too. I think it may have something to do with what is in front and back of the car. In parking lots with nothing around the car, it goes right off.

Every morning I get in the car the first few miles the radar malfunction comes on. Most likely just needs a software update. When business returns to normal I will take it in to the dealer.

That's definitely not normal. Keep us posted as to what the dealer has to say about it.

I knew there would be a bug or two to fix. If you are not willing to deal with that... you don't purchase a first year model. And on top of that it was one of the first built. This car is amazing and I have zero regrets.

I will take it to the dealer in a few months or more. Going to wait for the health crises to pass over.
