I joined these CX-30 forums 8 months ago to get a feel for CX-30 ownership experiences & attitudes in general, since I was interested in buying a small crossover in 2022 & the CX-30 was on my short list. Well, earlier today I took the plunge & purchased my first Mazda. Hoping that it gives me a solid ownership experience, as I have always wanted to try out the brand.
I was tempted to try the new 2022 Toytoa Corolla Cross XLE AWD (& almost pulled the trigger on one arriving in March), but decided to go with the new 2022 Mazda CX-30 Carbon Edition instead. I was checking out the CX-5 Carbon Edition & CX-5 Premium also, but they are too large for my taste & the CX-30 was just the right size footprint for me (I prefer subcompacts & compacts). I originally wanted the Select trim edition CX-30, because I'm not a fan of moon/sun roofs in general (& never use them), but really did love the polymetal gray/blue metallic color on the Carbon Edition better than any of the standard colors that Mazda offers on these vehicles, so I sucked it up.
So far all I have done is replace the stock carpeted mats with Mazda all-weather ones (much better IMO), as well as adding the all-weather cargo liner to the rear storage area. I also purchased the black alloy wheel locks & front/rear mudguards but haven't installed them yet. Also planning a few other convenience, protective and/or aesthetic mods for her in the coming weeks & will post some pics when I start getting things together.
In the meantime, here is a stock pic of the 2022 CX-30 Carbon Edition:
The seats are a dark/dusky burgundy-wine color & look really nicer & deeper-colored in-person (better than the online pics do them justice).
