Well more like off sealed road onto unsealed road. It had a good few pot holes and bumps that would have given my old mini and me a heart attack. But the Mazda handled it beautifully. There were small cars on this road too, but the ride in the mazda felt solid. I'm glad I was driving it.

It's the 2WD model so I don't have full confidence in taking it deeper off road, but for the dirt roads I take to a hiking trail or camping once in a blue moon I think it will do just fine.

I was anticipating this moment since I got the car.

How have your experiences been off road?

With temperatures finally about to rise over 0°C, today marks the first day of pothole season in Minneapolis. Last few years have been daunting for even the most well-equipped SUVs and we really need Moon buggies to get around. The lead-up to the start of the season in my CX-30, however, has been fantastic. It's nailing on-road and off-road conditions that would've given even my Audi trouble... even with the stock tires.
