Hi there,
I managed to drain the battery flat in my 2020 CX-30 but not turning it off correctly, leaving the aircon running all day on one of Britains hottest day. No, not my best day.

A standard jump start got me up and running again with no issues other than the fact the keyless entry no longer works.

This is the case for the spare key as well, which was nowhere ear the car on that ill-fated day.

To clarify, both keys still work and can start the car and have no issue with them at all. The car still locks when I walk away from it, although I have found this is has been temperamental from the day I bought it.
I’m sure its something easy to solve but I can’t find anything online.
HELP!

When your battery became depleted, the power saving mode may have been activated. When you press the lock or unlock button on your remote, does the little red light on the remote flash? If not, the power saving mode is on. To turn it off (from the U.S. manual):

1. Press any of the buttons on the transmitter to make sure that the operation indicator light does not turn on/flash. 2. Press the lock button on the transmitter 4 times within 3 seconds to turn on the operation indicator light. 3. Press the lock button continuously for 1.5 seconds or longer while the operation indicator light turns on (for 5 seconds)

I'm not sure this is the solution but it is worth a try.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

When I press the buttons on the key the little red light illuminates.
It still might be worth trying that procedure. Turning power saving mode on and off is done the exact same way. Maybe turning power saving on (so the light goes off) then off might reset things. Otherwise, I think you will have to have a dealer check it.

And to be clear, when you say both keys work, are you saying the physical key or do you have the advanced system where it should unlock without taking the key out of your pocket and now that is the function that is not working?

Let us know what happens.
