Hey wonderful people!

This is more for the North American folks - does anyone know what the rules are for following the factory maintenance schedule? Specifically, I'm talking everything except the oil changes (since I'm doing those myself).

How will the warranty be affected if I don't strictly follow those, or, not at all? They mostly seem to consist of a bunch of "inspection" items, except for tires and brakes (which I also change and rotate myself).

For the oil changes I know I'm fine as long as I keep my own records, but curious about all the other stuff. Thanks!

Your going to hear different “opinions” on a forum. Best advice is to ask your Mazda dealer representatives as ultimately they are the ones who approve or deny warranty claims. Btw, it is prudent advice to use Mazda oil filters while under warranty and keep all receipts and document kilometres when doing your own servicing.
This advice is from my spouse a major manufacturers service manager.
Throw out all these rules in the USA as they have parameters and acts that protect consumers differently.
