The recent debut of the new Chevy Trailblazer got me wondering how it will compare to the CX-30.

One thing that's going to be interesting is that the Trailblazer is going to come with two turbocharged three-cylinder engines 1.2L and 1.3L turbo engine. I'll be interested to see how it does against the CX-30's 2.5L 4-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine.

I recently test road a Buick Encore CX which is the same as a Chevy Trailblazer and the same dealer has Mazda so I test drove a 2020 CX 30 Premium and to me there was no comparison. Both cars were about the same price, the Buick had a few more addons but the Mazda felt like a quality car. I was concerned about the 1.3L turbo 3 and I think it was 157hp. On my short test drive the power didn't seem to be a problem, there is plenty of low end torque. The Buick did have a heated steering wheel, parking assist, heated outside mirrors, and Homelink, all of the stuff I would like to have. I'm getting a price to add the Homelink mirror and Parking sensors. They are listed in the brochure. The rear power lift door on the Buick was an option. I did not Test drive them on the highway so I don't know how the Buck would be at higher speeds.
