IRVINE, Calif. (February 1, 2021) – Mazda North American Operations has adjusted destination and handling (D&H) charges, increasing by $50 for cars and $75 for crossover SUVs for all 2020 Mazda vehicles, effective February 1, 2021. The newly adjusted D&H price is $995 for cars and $1,175 for crossover SUVs ($1,040 and $1,220 in Alaska, respectively). These charges affect vehicles being released from port after the effective date. D&H will remain at previous levels for all other current vehicle inventory across the U.S.
In addition to the D&H adjustment, mid-year pricing for the most 2021 models will increase by at least $100. 2021 Mazda MX-5 Miata MSRP is not affected. The updated starting MSRP (not including D&H, taxes, title or additional fees) are as follows:
  • The 2021 Mazda3 starting MSRP increases from $20,500 to $20,650
  • The 2021 CX-3 starting MSRP increases from $20,640 to $20,790
  • The 2021 CX-30 starting MSRP increases from $21,900 to $22,050
  • The 2021 Mazda6 starting MSRP increases from $24,325 to $24,47
  • The 2021 CX-5 starting MSRP increases from $25,270 to $25,370
  • The 2021 CX-9 starting MSRP increases from $33,960 to $34,160

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Feb. 2, 2021 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported January sales of 4,039 vehicles, representing an increase of 7.6 percent versus January 2020.

In January, sales of the Mazda CX-30 Turbo started at dealers across the country, bringing a new level of empowering performance and refinement to the small crossover segment.

JANUARY 2021 SALES HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Overall sales were up 7.6 percent, representing the second-best start to a new year in the past 10 years.
  • CX-5 jumped out to a commanding lead, staking its claim to Mazda's number one sales slot with a 11.8% year-over-year increase.
  • CX-9 came out of the gate with a record January showing, growing sales by 21.6 percent compared to the same time last year.
  • In its first year-over-year showing, CX-30 sales increased 65.5 percent versus January 2020.
  • Sales of Mazda's family of crossovers, including the CX-3, CX-30, CX-5, and CX-9 increased 13.1 percent compared to 2020, and accounted for 76.4 percent of Mazda sales in January.
  • Mazda's i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive option continues to be a favourite among Mazda CX-line buyers, with 94.0 percent of customers selecting AWD models in January.

With 24 selling days in January, compared to 25 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 11.4 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, March 2, 2021 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported February sales of 4,114 vehicles, representing a decrease of 2.8 percent versus February 2020. Sales year-to-date (YTD) are 8,153, which is an increase of 2.1 percent compared to the first two months of 2020.

FEBRUARY 2021 SALES HIGHLIGHTS:
  • CX-9 enjoyed a record February, growing sales by 22.5 percent compared to the same month last year.
  • CX-5 sales increased 6.7 percent, which is the second-best February result in the 10-year history of the nameplate.
  • The prospect of the impending spring driving season drove sales of the MX-5 to near record levels, marking the best February sales since 1995.
  • Mazda6 sales rose 29.2 percent, and are up 76.4 percent over the first two months of 2021.
  • YTD sales of Mazda's family of crossovers, including the CX-3, CX-30, CX-5, and CX-9 increased 6.6 percent compared to 2020, and accounted for 76.8 percent of Mazda sales.

IRVINE, Calif. (April 1, 2021) – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total March sales of 31,991 vehicles, an increase of 104.2 percent compared to March 2020. Year-to-date sales totaled 83,258 vehicles; an increase of 23 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in March, compared to 25 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 96.4 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, April 1, 2021 /CNW/ - Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported March sales of 6,889 vehicles, representing an increase of 112.0 percent versus March 2020. Sales year-to-date (YTD) are 15,042, which is an increase of 33.9 percent compared to the first quarter of 2020.

MARCH 2021 HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Mazda3 was named AJAC's 2021 Canadian Car of the Year for a second year in a row, becoming the first car in AJAC history to win back-to-back titles.
  • CX-9 experienced the best sales month on record, beating the previous record set in Sep. 2020 by 14.4 percent.
  • MX-5 sales surged to a March total not seen since 1994, as housebound Canadians look for safe ways to get outside.
  • CX-30 and CX-5 both recorded best-ever March sales.

Year-to-date sales totaled 114,375 vehicles; an increase of 45.5 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in April, compared to the same number the year prior, the company posted an increase of 48.4 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.
