Hello! I purchased a CX-30 Turbo Premium Plus last week. I live in Southern California, in the south end of Orange County. I am retired, so my main use will be to transport my bike a few miles to the beginning of the coastal bike route, through Doheny Beach, San Clemente, and south to Camp Pendleton. For the last few years, I have put more miles on my bike than on my vehicle, but the CX-30 is so much fun to drive that this year may be different.

I am old enough, but I didn't live here then. There is a surf shop named Killer Dana. I should read the history. Are you local?

Grew up in OC surfing Huntington Pier, then went to San Diego for College and surfed mostly Black's, Sunset Cliffs and OB Pier. Now Semi-retired/still teaching in the Yosemite Foothills...

That sounds like a nice semi-retirement. Before COVID I spent a lot of my time on the bike. Once or twice a year I would ride to San Diego, when my wife had a business trip down there. Usually, I put the bike on her car and drove back the next day, but I can brag that I rode down once and back to Dana Point the next morning. It takes me about 6 hours each way. I pass a lot of well-known surf spots, including Doheny, Trestles, San Onofre, and Swami's.
