I swapped mine out around 1500 miles but yes, I plan on 10K intervals. Mazda themselves suggests 10K intervals. The stealership can tell you whatever they'd like. The 1500 swap out was with Mazda oil. Going forward I'm going to use Idemitsu with moly, which in essence is the Mazda factory fill oil.

Coming from Audi and VW GTI 2.0 Turbos, the CX-30 oil should stay much cleaner. Turbos make the oil filthy so I change them often. We purchased the CX-30 for my long daily commute and for errands, but now I'm working from home 5 days a week so not going to change it anytime soon.

Q: should we change that first break-in oil sooner than normal ? The CX-30 says I should change it at 8,600 miles.
