Anyone experiencing a rattle noise in the left dashboard area when driving over uneven road surfaces? Might possibly be coming from the "cut out area" of the left front dashboard area.
Update 3/21: Dealer replaced left front strut and strut mount. Unfortunately, rattle still persists.

I have not. I did have a rattle coming from what I thought was the passenger side, but it turned out to be my glasses in the holder on the roof. I never thought that would ever sound like what I was hearing, but it was.

I seem to have the same issue with my GT AWD model here in canada and at first i thought it was sothing i had in the door panel cargo hold cut outs so i went as far as removeing everything i had in the vehicle other then my self lol and i went for a drive and i still do notice it on a bumpy road. Its a minor issue to me and i leased my cx-30 so i might bring it up to the dealer at some point will see.

I have had exactly this same problem with my new 2020 Mazda 3. Took it in to the dealership who said they had fixed it and it came back with the same problem. Took it in again and they gave me a CX30 with 1,000 km as a courtesy car. Here's the thing, the CX30 has exactly the same problem. The interior of the Mazda 3 and CX 30 look almost the same and it's the very same rattles when you go over the very same (light) bumps on the road. I reckon this is a problem out of the factory because the two cars make exactly the same sounds at exactly the same place on the same road.

I am in New Zealand and I have raised it with the Mazda head office up in Auckland. They claimed there were no know faults but honestly, I am not sure I believe them as the coincidence is just too great. My car is back in at the dealer for the 3rd time with this fault.

Mazda Europe issused this TSB a few months back, for the symptoms you're descriping, that applies to European market, I would think a similar TSB would exist for the NA market also.

Posted the German TSB in the other topic about this issue some time ago Faint rattle from front driver side wheel area. It mentions only Japanese M3/CX-30 production until end of January 2020 and Peekay's car is coming from Thailand plant I guess, like the Australian M3/CX-30.

See for me it's only on one side that I can hear on the driver's side .. it sounds like plastic rattling around at lower speeds as if something loose bouncing around inside the dash ... Like a air damper.. it's weired.

took mine in yesterday figures ... the tech could not hear it ... did all the other checks on suspention as they would normally do and of course it chekcs out fine .. lol now i will see about getting the noise on video and at least this way they know what to hear for.

I experienced the same thing detailcarguy, I too was at low speed, while driving up a hill and noticed what sounded like a plastic rattling from around the dash. Whether that be behind the rash or from around the HUD area. Once at the top of the hill and accelerating, the rattling stops!

I was at the dealership yesterday to take care of defective paint on a Tim they replaced under warranty and the recalls and so I got them to look into the rattling issue and no surprise the tech could not hear it 🙃 lol oh well I'm going to try and record it ..

Tell me about it.. lol dealership couldn't hear it and it's weired as it's this loud only when it's cooler out side sat 15 degrees C .. F***k now I have proof so they cant now think I'm just hearing things and I have emptied everything out of my CX 30 when I took that drive today and was going over bumps and made that rattling noise.. so it's not that lol something is rattling around.

They might start tearing apart the dash. Which can lead to more rattles and issues. If it happens rarely only on one road for a few seconds. I would not risk it...
