Hello,

New owner. First post. I searched the forum and did not see answer. I was wondering if my SE model has the "Predicted Path" feature on the backup camera. Currently it only shows the straight lines for backing up. Is this a setting? Or only available on an upscale model? Thank you.

Only the models with the 360 cam (turbo premium plus here in the states) have moving prediction paths, unfortunately.

Kinda what I figured. I wish the owners manual was more clear about what models the information pertained to. Probably half the manual is not applicable to my car. It is a little disappointing this feature in not on all models. Even my daughters base model 2019 Kia Rio has this feature. Oh well, I can deal with it. Thanks for the information.

Totally, agree with you about the Manual not being specific to one's own Model. When I first got my CX30, the Manual always confused me regarding the features listed --- half of them did not apply to my car!

manuals not covering a specific model is the same with every other manufacturer (but maybe it might be for a Rolls Royce 😄). If this was the case and they put the wrong manual in the wrong model then you would be upset which would be very easy to do.

If you purchase a specific model you should be well aware of the features of that model so you know what you are paying for. It's very easy to find out with a few clicks from the companies website.

I downloaded a copy of the owners manual in pdf formal and went through and highlighted all the features that applied to my specific model and is stored on my computer and get access it anytime to find anything out quickly.

I never said a manual for a specific model. Most manuals Ive read will tell the reader if a certain information is for a specific model though. I did not detect any verbiage along those lines in this manual. I did some research before purchase. The Mazda website IMO does a poor job of giving good detail of the differentiation. So Im left to learn it on my own. No problem. Thats why Im here. Most people will gladly help. Yesterday I was trying to figure out how to delete a Favorite from the radio. I could not find it anywhere in the PDF manual I downloaded. After some internet searching and an hour of fooling with selections and pushing knobs I finally did it. LOL. Its just a new owners learning curve. Im old but can still learn. Thank you.

My car doesn't have a 360 camera but does have the moving path lines, so this doesn't apply to all markets/years. However, if you buy the same trim now (GT) you do get a 360 camera and front parking sensors my car doesn't have but they're upped the price by about $3000.

Interesting. I was reading on the MZ3 forums that the moving lines were part of the 360/parking sensor combo and assumed it was similar for the CX-30.
