I have noticed that if I top my screen wash up to the top of the tube, the level drops without having used the screen washers. There doesn't appear to be leaks, I don't think evaporation could account for it either.
If somebody out there tops theirs up I would be grateful if they keep a eye on it for a few days to see if it is unique to my vehicle, thank you.

instantly or over a period of time - if so how long?

An air lock was my first thought.

Thanks for your replys due to covid 19 didn't use the car for two weeks, over a period of 7 days it dropped aprox 4 inches and stabilized topped it up and same thing happened. Not moving probably rules out air locks.

My current cars and previous ones do this. Even with no use of the screen wash I can still manage a decent amount of water to refill them to the brim. My wife's CX-30 and my Lexus ES both required a top up last weekend even though the washers hadn't been used.
