I am thinking it is possibly a piece of plastic. Or may be the window is not sitting right? Makes a slight creaking sound.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I have, it was the door latch: adjust and lubricate and it might fix it.

This takes me back, WAY back, to when my parents bought a brand new Chevrolet station wagon in 1964. There was a rattle in the door so my Dad took it in to the dealer. The took the door apart and found a screwdriver in there!
