My previous CX3 (UK)had a speed camera warning function and i can't seem to find it in settings. Does anyone know if this exists on the CX 30?

No speed camera warning on my USA version. It may be part of the Nav system but I don't have that either. I'm not paying $450 extra for an option that my iphone comes with and does better!

I’ve been wondering about that too Derek, very useful for when you are not using the Satnav, along with next street detail... bizarre things to miss from my CX3 given all the huge improvements in the CX-30!

Agree..
tbh i hardly drive the cx30, and i haven't looked at speed camera setting as assumed it would of been carried over from cx3 etc, along with the next street name...disappointing its not available..
All of us in the UK have it installed as standard
Just backing up my SD card before updating the maps in toolbox to see if this can be enabled. It is in the manual under navigation settings but also says may not be enabled in some countries (I believe parts of Europe it would be illegal) I'm wondering if you need to update in a country that allows it to turn it on. Will update later as backing this card up takes a while!
Addendum this could also be a software version thing. If maps update doesn't work I'll ping the dealer over the weekend.

My US version with the sat-nav does not have it. And I strongly miss the next street detail feature is well from the cx-3 😞😞
Map data updated to the latest but that option is not showing.Ive pinged the dealer and will let you all know.

"Speed camera"is working for me. I'm on MZD CONNECT II Version 7000C0A-EU01_10047 and the change log at HiDrive contains " With the updated version software, Warnings Settings menu has been added under the Navigation Settings menu. In some countries, function of Speed limit, Speeding, Speed Cameras and Warn for Cameras are available. " . I lost traffic sign recognition/display when Android Auto ran. A struggle with the dealer to update it from "10042" - adamant that 10042 was the current version. This was after they had had the car for 7 days to diagnose that the battery was faulty after having had 2 home visits by Mazda Assist to "a flat battery" and Mazda Assist arranging recovery to dealers after verbal complaint.

Thanks for that I'm on version '45 which explains why it's missing. I've asked my dealer to update as I'm missing options in the manual that are in that version. Will let you know what they say.

Dealer was unaware the the feature was available on UK models. I've given him the upgraded version number and he's going to take a look with the service team on Monday.

Spoke to my dealer he's confirmed there's an update that can be done I need to give them a call tomorrow to get it arranged. I'll keep you all up to date.

Cheers
My dealer asked me to contact the service team which I did to get booked in.

I did and they asked was it being done because I wanted it or because it fixes something. I said it fixes the missing warnings menu mentioned in the current manual but not on my model.

Car is booked in for Monday afternoon for a software update, given I already updated the mapdata via the Mazda update toolbox if the only remaining issue is the version of the software (from my 45 to 47 I believe) and there's not been an addition of any kind of newly applied geolocking (unlikely as I've seen some UK owners have it on new cars - thanks for the updates folks!) it should be activated.

I'll report back then.

Thanks all.

I wish you the best of luck on your grave endeavors!! You got this 💪👊💪
Spoke to my dealer, he said there is no update available for the CX30 which was purchased March.
I am OK with mechanical issues, but not tech savvy enough to argue the point regarding software.
The speed camera alert is a feature I really miss from my CX3 and also presumed it would be available.
Any advice on how to approach the dealer so it looks like I know what I am talking about would be apprecated.
Thank you.

There is but it may not be listed as a main dealer update, e.g to put on as a default, if you go into your software version in the information option on your infotainment system Im betting you have either version ending 42 or, more likely, 45 (as is mine)

The speed camera warnings should be (according to the manual as shown on the Mazda site) in the navigations settings under "warnings" that is not present in the versions up to 45.

Release notes say it appears in CONNECT II Version 7000C0A-EU01_10047

Also in that version are fixes for display lockups and some issues with the navigation options glitching under certain circumstances.

Thats the software update you need applied.

It is possible to apply yourself but I really, really would not recommend that in case it causes issues with your system and then you get issues with warranty resolution.

As I mentioned my dealer is great and they really are helpful but they didnt know that this option was available on the CX30 and that a subsequent update was released. My guess is its generally only updated in order to correct another issue.

One other point, if you do have the later version and the warnings options are there I would recommend updating your SD card maps. Set some time aside for this as backing up my card and then updating took the best part of 3 hours when I did it which was nothing to do with my internet speed (380mb+)

Thanks

Ed

Thank you so much for your reply, my dealers are usually very helpful as well, so I will pay them a visit and relay your information to them, so fingers crossed thank you again.
