Does anyone else have this problem? When using the + or - volume buttons on the steering wheel it mutes the sound. Unless you press precisely at the very top of the + or very bottom of the - button, it will mute. TIA

I don’t “press” the + or - button part (it’s too small for a finger and will cause you to mute everything)

instead I use the silver part like a rocker. Flick Switch up or down for volume and hard press for mute.

treat it like a light switch and you’ll be fine.

Does anybody else find that the mute buttons don't seem work when you try to use them to turn the radio off on start up for about 10 seconds or so?

there is also the mute button on the console, if you find the one of the steering wheel too finicky. 😄
