Every time I stop the CX30 Select I turn off the stereo. But every time I press the start button the stereo comes on. Have looked through the manual’s index and found no mention of the sound system. How do I set it to not start with the car?

I don’t believe you can turn the radio off so it will not be on when you restart the car. When you restart the car the volume will be at the same level as it was when you previously shut down. So if you don’t want to hear it when you start you need to turn the volume down so you can’t hear it when you shut down. This apparently is going on with other brands as well as I experienced it with Subaru’s Forester and Crosstrek. Don’t know the logic behind it.

If you turn it off by holding down the volume control knob, it does not come on when you push the start button. Not on mine anyway..

I know you can turn it off but I didn't realize you could do it that way.
