I’ve been trying to check in the Mazda parts database to see if the factory air box assembly is the same in the CX-30 Turbo an Mazda 3 Turbo. It is for the muffler assembly….

I'm betting it does, but I suppose you should take that with a grain of salt. My sri was technically for a Mazda 3 Turbo, but fit my CX30 Turbo with no issues. At some point, the manufacturer began listing it as being compatible with both, suggesting that this one component is either identical or similar enough for intake parts to be interchangable.

But official confirmation would be nice 👍

I emailed aFe to check on compatibility with the CX-30 turbos. I’ll keep you updated on when/if they respond.

The turbo's intake system is completely different; this AFe intake won't work. CorkSport and Burger Motorsports both sell intake kits for the turbo.

Ah, do you have a link to the product? I'd be interested myself (currently looking at the BMS stage 2 intake)

Nevermind, I found it: Takeda Momentum Cold Air Intake System w/ Pro 5R Filter

It's an interesting design;I like how it utilizes the factory air inlet path. If only someone made a turbo inlet to replace the restrictive factory tube (I hear CorkSport has one in development).
