Thanks MorelHi,
Don't think so.
The P/N of the towbar for the CX-30 is DHT4-V3-920 and the electrical hardness is DFR5-V7-780, different than the P/N for the CX-3
right, indeed a slight misunderstanding. MAZDA catalogue defines trailer hitch as "towbar", BTW they are not the only, see also SUBARU and others.I was a bit confused by this thread, as I understood a tow bar to be a device that hooks to the front of a vehicle to allow it to be towed behind a larger vehicle. An attachment at the back for pulling a trailer was a trailer hitch. So I looked at the part number given above and sure enough it is indeed described as a tow bar. I guess the terminology depends on what country or region you are in?
Hi Morel,Hi All,

Towbar manufactured per design here. Electrical harness - installed the OEM one, P/N DFR5-V7-780. Had to make some corrections on the harness as some pins were not available in one of the connectors. If additional info is required, I'll be happy to provide.

It really is, I didn't know that the CX-30 wasn't recommended for towing in North America. It does make sense since there's so many bigger SUVs and trucks to tow with.It is quite interesting that many different countries have various requirements and restrictions for what is the same car!
It applies to many other manufacturers too, my Kia Soul is not recommended to tow in Canada or the US but it can in Europe. Keep in mind that they have different power-trains and criteria with regards towing standards. It is quite interesting that many different countries have various requirements and restrictions for what is the same car!
