Yes it is.
Part number: DGH9-68-310-02 and got it from Mazdaswag.
I was surprised none of the CX-30s came with it, however on my '19 Mazda3 I had it.

I haven't measured the sound level but I think it helps a bit also with keeping the road noise lower in the back; I removed it once on my Mazda3 and I heard more road noise from the back.

Thats one difference between Aust and North America, we get the Cargo Cover (Parcel Shelf) included when buying the car, even the basic model. To be honest I don't think they would dare leave it out over here. Even my 1980 Mazda 323 had a parcel shelf included.

One thing I did purchase recently (No, not today Trickster) was a dash Matt in a lighter colour (grey), my interior dash and console is black. I think its what you in North America get as a Carbon Edition. It worked brilliantly to cut down some of the heat of the sun. Even Melbourne, in summer, can be a nightmare in a black interior car. The light grey dash mat looks nice, lightens up the interior and I am really glad I purchased it.

They left out also the cup holder cover that I had on my '19 Mazda3 and that area it feels to me unfinished but it is what it is to make it as cheap as possible.

Interior on my CX-30 with the cup holder cover missing:

Interior on my Mazda3 where it had the cover.

In 11 month the lease for my current car expires and if they add the MT on the Mazda3 2.5l turbo, I'll be getting back to a red Mazda3 with red interior (CX-30 is for my wife).

Installed the cargo cover today.

My CX-30 is the first hatch I've had that didn't include the cargo cover from the factory. But, I would rather Mazda skip that to save a few bucks than things like the under-hood insulator pad, cabin sound/noise insulation, exhaust system materials/setup, etc., like Toyota does in spades these days. The Corolla Cross is a joke compared to my CX-30 CE, even at it's top trim level (& costing a bit more $$$).

I think you mean difference between Aust and USA. In Canada (the other North American country) cargo covers are included in every trim. Your friendly commonwealth neighbour! :D

I guess in Canada the cover is still there (at least it is in our GT trim). I rarely use it so I like the clean look of it closed. I agree that when it's missing it does look unfinished so I'm glad ours come with it.

I went ahead & ordered the OEM rear cargo cover piece for my 2022 CX-30 from my preferred Mazda dealership here. I will go pick it up whenever it arrives. Should have done it sooner, as it does feel sort of incomplete back there without it.

I was surprised that the "shelf" was not considered as part and "parcel" of the car. Before I bought our 30, I had the dealer throw it in as part of the deal at no cost to me. This was after we had an agreed on price and we checked the "numbers" before I wrote the check to make sure that, among others discounts, were included and not added in.

I removed my roof rails and replaced them with the black inserts. Way back I had thought about cross bars and a roof box but....I don't like the cross bars that are available and it appears to me that loading and unloading the box would be a ditch. Additionally the OE rails are aluminum and they oxidize, not something I want to maintain.

For me the "incomplete" feeling is at the interior with the missing cup holder cover as I had on my '19 Mazda3.
I see that in Australia, Canada, Europe they didn't cheapened out as much as in the US and it's available on the top trim level; different markets, different buyers.

How much would that cost them? $20? was it really that necessary? I would have paid for it.

Makes me wonder what else did they cut that we can't see?

Well I had one on my 30 and it was always left open, so never really used.
I always travel with a beverage when in a vehicle so it was a pointless feature for me.
