I read somewhere that the CX-30 was made in Japan only, but mine was made in Mexico. How about yours?

Where was you CX-30 made? Like my 2015 3, mine was made in Mexico. There has been a lot of debate over the years if quality differs between those made in Mexico or Japan. I've not read anything conclusion either way.

In Australia they are made in Thailand which at first I thought “ no way “ until I investigated the manufacturing plant and l can assure you made in Thailand is fine and they have a huge car building industry with quality cars being built, Australia no longer has a car industry and we have no choice, l personally would have preferred made in Japan but some models from Japan have had more recalls than Thailand

I haven't checked, but I would assume Singapore CX-30s are made in Thailand, since they can easily road-car them over the borders

You'd better double-check. Despite sharing borders with Thailand, Malaysian CX-30s are made in Japan and are consequently more expensive than the CX-5, which is locally assembled.

Mine is from Mexico, but the interesting thing was that I got to choose whether I wanted one from Japan or Mexico. Having considered Kia Xceed as the other option and disliked it because of the obvious very low build quality for the part of Europe where I reside (you can tell by the videos of the same model elsewhere in Europe) I opted for Mexico. The reasoning was that they probably have the same quality control as for the North America and I should be fine. We will see whether I outplayed myself 🤣
