Sorry for confusing.
Any way taking into account that my mazda cx 30 2021 premium runs for less than 2 years more than 60 000 miles with no serious problems. Now I know what to do if you stopped with flat tire on the high way and decided to leave your car for week or 2 on the highway. Just leave it in "Drive", open and lock the hood removed one contact from the battery. That's it! Nobody will be able to move it. Even you. :))

I also had the "Network Malfunction" alert show up on my 1500 mile Select package CX-30. My dealer suggested I could bring it in or drive it and it should clear itself. I drove it a couple of days, a few trips and restarts but no luck. After finding this service bulliten https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10159202-0001.pdf I disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 minutes and that cleared the alert. If it shows back up I'll take it in to the dealer and report back. Cheers
This shows on my Mazda cx30 what am I suppose to do.dealership said they can't do anything

They can’t do anything?
Find a new dealership or get roadside assistance to tow it and drop it on their doorstep.

I drove my new cx30 for the third day. Today I am seeing this message.

"In-vehicle Network malfunction. Have the Vehicle inspected."
Has anybody seen this before? The service department isn't opened and I will contact them tomorrow.

The same message showed up on my 2023 CX;30(1month old and 2400kms) last week. Mazda dealer updated the system software to version 12016.There was no charge for the update. Apparently the warning was caused by my not wanting the My Mazda app.I declined the 2year free version when I bought the vehicle.

"Hi everyone I recently bought Mazda 3 GT sport I had same issue.mazda main dealer told me to change all TCU unit or just small battery inside of TCU.if it is battery it will cost me £75+labour.tcu located next to glove compartment.it took me to reach TCU about 5mins.i opened TCU battery location,it is 9v lithium battery.i bought 9v energiser lithium battery for £8 and connected to car.error has gone.if someone has same problem.it might be solution for you."

I wonder if anyone acted on his advice and tried to cure the problem before posting above??
I have a CX30. 2021. 2.5 liters. Build Mexico.
An error has appeared: In-vehicle Network Malfunction. Have the Vehicle Inspected.
When disconnecting the terminal for 30 minutes, the error disappeared. But the next day she reappeared.
I took off the TCU, there are no batteries in it.
Updated TCU and ECU. TCU was 10004, became 10007. CMU was 12006, became 12012.
Updated according to the ASH8 (ASH8) instructions - TCU DRIVER Software Update available for CX-30.
For the third day the error does not appear.
Many thanks to the ASH8 user.

@Zander Sorry I haven't posted any updates. I brought it back to service department on the next day after I posted this. The service person said this message showed because it had not received any satellite signal for over 31 miles. They said some wire was loosened. They rewired it and cleared the message. No problem after that,
Any idea which wire? That sounds like something that could be done without a dealership, which would be ideal.

I also have this "In-vehicle Network malfunction. Have the Vehicle inspected." come on on a 2023 CX 30 Preferred! Dealer told me to contact Mazda directly for such issues!!! so, do I need to take it back to the dealership maintenance Dept? Thanks...

Find a new service department that actually knows their responsibility to customers.
When your vehicle has an issue while under warranty your first contact is always your closest dealership or one that actually knows WTF they are talking about.
The message says “Have vehicle inspected”. By who,
corporate head office?
Would love to see the look on the regional managers face when you have towing assistance haul it to the corporate office for inspection because the dealership didn’t care to help.🤣

2021 Mazda CX30 AWD Turbo. I had this code and it went away on its own. I called about it and dealership keeps calling me to bring vehecile in for Service on top of this issue? According to them the trans oil is Lifetime Too! Not Gonna Do It! Ever heard the term STEALERSHIP? Anyway I do all my own maintenance. Just changed Trans oil and filter at 30k and oil was very dirty Not Blue as the new oil is colored. I change my own oil every 5k etc. This code in my Paranoid opinion is so they can Screw something up for you so you will bring it back for them to fix Cause they know people are Stupid. Do your own maintenance people. What was mentioned prior...just unplug the battery for a minute.

Well, I'm glad you're not concerned. Though, since the car does not have a built in navigation system, I'm still not sure how the GPS antenna relates to you knowing where you are or are not going. Did you purchase the optional navigation SD card? The car DOES have a built is GPS compass, but that of course has nothing to do with where you're headed. If I'm being daft, my apologies, but I'm not sure what you're even talking about.
Your talking to someone who probably was born before GPS and knows how to navigate without it.

I just got error message yesterday on my 2023 with just 1183 miles on it. Not impressed. Haven't checked if it has "healed itself" over night , but will see in a while. If it's still there I'm gonna' give the local dealership an earful. Disconnecting the battery for an hour sounds like just re-booting your computer rather than fixing the bug causing the problem.

YEA!! This worked for me. 👍 Now we'll see if it reappears any time soon...
I also had this problem of network communication error and I disconnected the battery. The code went away then reappeared after a few starts. I then went to the setup screen and found the setting for automatic software updates. I removed the check from that setting so it would no longer look for software updates. I then discoonnected the battery and the code was gone. I have been driving it for three weeks now and the code has not returned.

Why give the dealership “an earful”?
They didn’t build it.
They are there to help you resolve your issues.
Try the opposite approach with reasoning and politeness, you may find your service experience less stressful and you will get respect instead of them thinking of you as customer they would rather not deal with.

What exactly does "I don't have any need for the gps" mean? If the car is designed to have GPS and use it, I'd think this would be point of concern for you. At least for me it would be.
With my Mazda they offered a GPS system for $2,000 more and its is just a chip (SD Card) to be put in the car. I said no and when I have my phone plugged in it has google maps. So there really is no point in using the GPS.

Salud

I also disconnected battery and the messaje dissappeared, but then it appeared again, what should I do?
