Low Voltage Risk-Start Engine alarm

Having owned both a 2020 and a 2021 CX-30 don't ask, it does all come down to the 30 min active time as noted
by many, yes the remote will cause the car to wake up which adds to the 30 min accumulation time.

Since the battery condition is secondary to the 30 min rule the actual battery state of charge is irrelevant
so a battery tender will not trump the 30 min timer.

BTW without pulling fuses there is no way to turn off the rear tailgate light [open] when vacuuming/cleaning
not that its going to lessen activation of the chime anyway.

I'd be more than happy with a 60 min active mode prior to the activation of the much hated chime.

I bought a Noco smart charger not a version that starts a dead battery, after having the alarm kick in I charged the battery as a test until the charger indicated a full system charge.
I Wanted to see if the alarm would sound after the 30 minute/5 activations open door period, the alarm did sound
even though a minimum of discharge had occurred.

Think we are still waiting for that software alarm update mentioned late last year.

Just to clarify to everyone....
Not much clarification needed at this point, the 30 min mark and a cycling of 5 or so door openings etc
causes the issue being discussed for this past year and a half or so.

Evidently an update is on the way for N.A. you may have to request it or at the least note it when a service is due.

It is in deed a pain in the rear.

When unlocked under certain conditions ie the fob is within a certain distance
and still interacting with the car the systems are activated and voltage will be depleted.

The new update covers having the door open for 30 min or opening a door/hatch 5 or more times and getting the alarm.

Ok thought we had the issue with the"Low Battery warning" display being solved with the Bulletin
notification posted above post #227

Took my CX-30 in today with the specific purpose of having the update downloaded
after 2 hours I was told the the bulletin has been withdrawn by Mazda due to causing issues with
other computer systems?

What I did get was a new battery, yes the original always sounded weak from day one even with me
charging it periodically.

As to the main reason for my visit the warning alarm, the service manager did not recommend either
pulling the fuse or disconnecting the battery due to possible codes being thrown.

So I'm still unable to leave a door open or have 5 openings per 30 minute period without that dam
alarm sounding.

As to a bigger battery I also asked that question, I was told they looked into it and came up with 1 option
this being in Canada. Theoretically if a battery fits physically and terminal orientation
is doable increased cranking amps should not be an issue.

My previous battery from day 1 felt week on starting even when used with a pulse type battery maintainer
yet this one today seems noticeably stronger ie quicker starter rotation.
