Hi All.

Apologies if this has been covered, did a search but came up with nothing.

I have previously updated the SD card last year when I had a Windows 10 PC and it went smoothly.

So this year I now have a windows 11 PC and when I insert the SD card in the reader I get the message below:

The Toolbox software was freshly downloaded from Mazda yesterday.

I've tried the re-recognize button but get the same message. Tried a spare SD card reader and same result.

As you can see the card is being seen by the OS and is displaying as a removeable disk which looks reasonable. In the toolbox website FAQ section, Mazda says that there have been some instances where the error message was triggered by the removeable disk being seen as a local disc, this is not the case here. I can't remember what the SD card appeared as in my windows 10 computer.

If I put the card back in the car, the Nav works fine.

Have any of you used Windows 11 recently to update the SD card? I'm using Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, build 22631.3085.

I have access to a Windows 10 laptop so plan to try that later but it's not available right now, however I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious!

Any ideas?

I believe I am on Telenav if the VIN ranges on Mazda UK's website can be believed.

Using the MacBook the interface and screens appear identical (at a quick glance) to what is shown on the Naviextras site.

I'm wondering if the latest software you pointed to can work on both the older and newer navigation systems. Would be sensible if it did. Last thing users need is different installers for different navigation systems on the same model of car. That's a recipe for confusion, especially if handled poorly.

Obviously there will always be the need for installers for completely different Operating Systems - Mac or Windows in this case. However to have different installers for the same OS family is best avoided IMO.
