Can't get my phone to charge at all. It lights up green for a couple of minutes and then overheats, indicator lights red and just stops. Phone is a Pixel 6 Pro, works on other Qi chargers faultlessly. Also does the same for wife's pixel 6 standard, but lasts a few minutes longer.

I just got mine last week (2024 Carbon Edition). The first couple times I used the charger, my phone (iPhone 15 Pro) warned me about excessive heat within about 10 minutes of me putting it on the pad. Did a little research, read about how inaccurate placement causes less efficient charging with a side effect of ....more heat. Curse you, science. The next day I started placing my phone more carefully, and specifically slightly to the driver's side of center in the charger, which lines up the charging coil in the phone more closely with the coil in the car. Longest I've driven since is just over an hour, and with better phone placement I have had 0 issued with overheating.

Just sharing my experience with what works after several hours of working with it. It's been a week since my post, I've used the charger in this manner every trip since, several of those drives over an hour, and have completely eliminated the overheat issues in my particular car. So it's definitely not a model-wide issue, but may be that a higher than expected number of these chargers are Not Great. I'll let you worry about the physics.
