120 000 km for non turbo and 64 000 km for turbo

With regards to your turbo question...you will feel it😃 There are a few ways to tell but it would say on the back if it is a turbo

 

Most modern cars don't require 'tuneups" like the old days. My 2011 Honda CR-V is still with original plugs; close to 200,000 KMs. Unless you notice something odd with the engine, I wouldn't. Recommendations above would be adequate.
Dealers will always recommend lots of things to be done, that's where the profit is.

 

Thanks my brother just suggested the same, not to bother unless mileage is down. I just wasn’t sure if these new cars needed the plugs changed more often.

 

Its the easiest diy maintenance you can do. I did mine a little under recommended interval ( non-turbo). I used NGK which is the exact same one minus the mazda logo.

 

Well I’ve changed the cabin air filter but that’s about it. Is it as easy as that? Send me the youtube video you followed. Then perhaps I’ll think about if I can DIY. But thanks for the encouragement

 

 

Interesting, asked about when they were due before selling the 3 and the told me service 6 , that is year 6 or 120.000 km, and it was about 250 euro for the plugs , the most expensive part to service so it is not that bad

 

I just changed the plugs on my '22 Turbo, just over the recommended interval. It was super easy, there are 3 bolts to remove that get a hose/wiring bracket out of the way (10mm as I recall).
I used the NGK equivalent of the Mazda OEM plug and they were about $115 USD. Took maybe 1/2 hour all in. The used plugs were nicely even tan, but the insulators were showing some heat scars, and the electrodes were a bit burned down.
I could have probably gone longer, but I could feel a noticeable difference on starting and overall smoother acceleration

 

hi, I replace spark plugs at ~7 years on my cars. More from the fear that the spark plugs won't come out easily after that. Perhaps the fear is unfounded, but it's been fine to do take this step so far. Yes, DIY.

 

The GS trim was never available with the turbo, but if you're really unsure you can look behind the engine, the turbo is just hanging out back there under a heat shield. It also says "turbo" on the engine cover
